About

My first code was for my family’s medical accounting office, where I worked in high school. Most of the job was paperwork done by hand, so I taught myself Python to automate some of it. Then I went to Insper in São Paulo for computer engineering.

Outside class, I was on a team of four that built two generations of a search-and-rescue robot. Our robots won Best in Class for Sensing at RoboCup 2022 in Bangkok , and that’s how I became president of the university’s robotics and AI club. The next year they won Best in Class for Mapping at RoboCup 2023 in Bordeaux . For my capstone I did cloud security for PinPag, a Brazilian payments company, on their live platform.

I also took classes for a summer at Stanford and for a semester at Olin and Babson, outside Boston. During that semester I started OpenGiving with two American friends: a marketplace where part of every sale goes to a fundraising campaign. I wrote all of its code, and I’ve been on leave from it since I started at Brown.

In September 2025 I joined DAERO, a Boston startup that makes software for construction crews, as its first hire. The first version of their iOS app already existed. I worked on it for ten months, and in February 2026 I started rewriting it from scratch. I left in July 2026 to start my master’s at Brown.

I’m doing a master’s in Innovation Management and Entrepreneurship at Brown, and I finish in May 2027.

I want to get good at security. So far I’ve only done it in school: my capstone, and electives on cloud security and offensive tooling. I haven’t found a bug in someone else’s system yet. This term I’m taking Systems Security at Harvard, and I’m studying for CompTIA Security+.

Languages. Swift, Python, TypeScript, Go, Kotlin, C.

Building. SwiftUI and WidgetKit, FastAPI, Next.js and Astro, Jetpack Compose, PostgreSQL with Prisma, GraphQL, Stripe Connect and PayPal.

Running it. AWS, Railway, Vercel, GitHub Actions, OpenTelemetry and Grafana.

Security. Semgrep in CI, Wazuh, ModSecurity, and secret scanning as a required check. AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner.

I speak Portuguese and English natively, Spanish well enough to work in, and a little Swedish. Outside Brazil and the US, the country I’ve spent the most time in is Sweden . I’ve been six times.

I play pickup soccer whenever I can find a game.
